Absolute Favorite

My new friend at Ramblings and Photos linked to some cool contest sites today. The one that really caught my eye is by The Paper Mama. She challenges you to find/take and share your favorite photo of your child. That was difficult for me, as I obviously take THOUSANDS of photos of Brooklyn. However, I always come back to this photo. My absolute favorite. Click on over to participate!

I Heart Faces Week 30-Purple

11 copyshp

This week’s theme at i heart faces is “purple.” I sewed this dress last week for Brooklyn to match the one I made for her cousin. I’ve been wanting to sew a dress in purple, and this was a perfect excuse :) She sure loved showing off her purple flower to me! Have a great week! Head on over to i heart faces to participate.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I found a new link-up over at Ashley Sisk’s Ramblings and Photos. Here are the rules:

The rules are simple:

  1. Anyone can participate (although it started in a photography board on The Bump).
  2. You're encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge.
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I'm not too strict about it - I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Monday at the latest) - you can use the new button.
  5. Have fun!

This week’s items were:

1. Food

2. Portrait

3. Chair

4. Game

5. Miniature

Lilliana and Brooklyn

Brooklyn’s cousins and grandfather have been in town for the past week.  I promised Lilly I would make her and Brooklyn matching dresses and then take some photos.  I love this new fabric.  I was super pleased that I managed to make a pattern that fit Lilliana, who is almost seven.  I’ve only ever sewed for Brooklyn before.  Brooklyn is just modeling her dress as I will be donating it to the Liz Loggelin Celebration of Hope silent auction.  Hope everyone is enjoying a super weekend!
